Feelings and Friends

For students in years 1-2 and in year 3

Feelings and Friends comprises one program for students in year 1 and 2, and a separate program for students in year 3.

The Feelings and Friends programs both focus predominantly on emotional skills and social skills. With these programs, the students learn to recognise 'body clues' for different feelings, to help them identify emotions in themselves and in others. Students also learn and practise a range of coping strategies (First Aid for Feelings), that will help them manage and regulate their emotions and behaviours.

Positive relationship skills, such as being friendly, giving compliments and helping others out are explored and practised in both programs. the program for year 3 also includes one module on social problem solving, or conflict management.

Both programs are included in our Workshop for Primary Schools, and for a limited time, you can book a workshop that focusses on Feelings and Friends only.

These courses are held at Curtin University, Bentley campus. If you would like to organise a workshop at your school, please contact us.
